Outfitting Black Betty

Let’s be honest, our ride is little more than a wheelchair with windows. Seeing as we are driving a third of the Earth’s circumference we are bound to break down along the route but what should we bring with us to minimize time spent on the side of the road????

We will be travelling light, that’s for sure, so one idea is to follow the typical Engineers flowchart and bring a can or two of WD40, 3 rolls of Duct Tape and a trusty hammer to close the show.

We will be blazing through the Desert at times as fast as our 87 HP engine will take us. Perhaps we should carry a few tennis balls to fix our suspension? 82% sure a couple hundred zip ties and a broom handle will fix a broken axle in a pinch. Perhaps we should try all of the Mechanical Fails (or successes as I like to call them) from the video below!

Leave a comment below and let us know what you think we should bring with us!

  1. Outa The Netherlands yet?

  2. Sounds like you’re off to a good start (lol). Do you have a good geographer with you? Sounds like you…
